Of these 513 sales, 218 were purchased with the intention of the property being the principal place of residence of the purchaser with 295 Units in Maroochydore purchased by investors. This is a very strong showing of investor confidence returning to the market.
Over 35% of investors were actually from the local surrounding area from Caloundra to Gympie, whilst 40% of investors were from the greater QLD area including Brisbane.
The strongest interstate inquiry has originated from Victoria, NSW and interesting WA. As the WA market has begun to slow we are seeing a high level of inquiry from potential purchasers from all area's of WA particularly from the Mandurah and Perth areas.
